Earlier this evening (Thursday, May 2), Mars Area School District was notified by Middlesex Township Police of a potential threat made by a Mars Area Middle School student.

District administrators, working in cooperation with Middlesex Township Police, are continuing to investigate this incident. Please note that, at this time, there is no imminent threat to the health and safety of the student body and/or staff members at Mars Area Middle School or at any other District buildings.

If and when any additional information becomes available, the District will communicate that information appropriately. We thank you for your patience and cooperation as Mars Area School District strives to remain proactive in the protection of our students, faculty and staff members.
