Mars Area High School Marching Band will compete in the 2024 PIMBA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association) Championships, to be held from 4 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Gateway High School (Monroeville).

The Fightin’ Planets will compete against Class A bands from Deer Lakes, Southmoreland, Trinity and Yough high schools. The Planets will perform at approximately 6 p.m.

This year’s marching band show, titled Up in Lights, features the songs, “When I Grow Up” by PCD; “Applause” by Lady Gaga; “Lucky” by Britney Spears; and “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd.
