In celebration of National School Bus Safety Week, Mars Area School District honored the winners of the District’s 2022-2023 School Bus Safety Poster Contest at a special luncheon on Nov. 1.
In Division 1, open to students in Grades K-2, second-grader Myra Mistry took first place; second-grader Anthony Zimmerman, second place; and third-grader Dyani Martinez, third place. In Division 2 (3-5) fourth-grader Tyler McKinney received first place; fifth-grader Cole Knight, second place; and fifth-grader Kate Sherwin, third place. And, in Division 3 (6-8), seventh-grader Rhythm Srivastava took first place.
At the luncheon, each winner was presented with a school bus coin bank and a framed picture of his/her poster contest entry. The annual PennDOT contest asked students to design and submit a poster on this year’s contest theme, “Safely Rolling to My Destination”
